Parents provide the cake to accommodate dietary and allergy requirements. Your session takes place in my Winnipeg studio.
What to Expect at Your Cake Smash Session
We begin without the cake so you have classic portraits of your baby at this milestone. A favourite stuffed animal can help your little one feel comfortable while we photograph their expressions and personality.
Once the cake arrives, there is no need to force a particular reaction. Some babies dive straight in; others prefer a cautious touch or a little taste. I keep photographing the natural moments as they unfold.

Preparing for Your Baby’s First Birthday Photographs
Bring the cake, an outfit you are happy to get messy, a clean change of clothes and supplies for cleanup. A familiar toy is helpful too. When booking, let me know about dietary requirements and any ideas you have for the photographs so we can talk through the session.
