The Story: A serene and beautiful scene capturing a winter sunset over a completely frozen lake in the small community of Rennie, a gateway to the eastern side of the Whiteshell Provincial Park. The sky ignites with subtle pink and orange hues as the sun dips below a treeline of rugged evergreen trees. In February, the landscape is deep in winter, covered in a thick layer of snow and ice, creating a profound sense of stillness and peace. The foreground showcases the expansive, untouched snow of the frozen lake, framed by the dark silhouette of the trees against the vibrant sky. This image freezes a breathtaking second of raw, untamed Canadian nature during the quiet beauty of winter.

Printed in my Winnipeg studio on Palo Duro SoftGloss Rag 315, a 315 gsm, 100% cotton fine art paper with a subtle semi-gloss finish. This archival, acid-free paper is listed by Red River as FOGRA-certified to ISO 9706 for paper permanence. I use pigment inks in my Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-4100 printer. Photo Rag prints are coated with Hahnemühle Protective Spray and are supplied unframed, with no mounting hardware. Choose your own frame to suit the photograph and your space. Conservation framing and protection from direct sunlight help preserve your print.

Printed in my Winnipeg studio on Palo Duro Satin Canvas, a 450 gsm canvas with a satin finish. Each canvas print is coated with Eco Print Shield, is gallery-wrapped over 1.5-inch wooden stretcher bars and is supplied ready to hang.
