Print Name: Red Rock Lake Sunset
Captured: December 2022 | Location: Red Rock Lake, Whiteshell Provincial Park, Manitoba, Canada
The Story: A powerful scene capturing a vibrant winter sunset over a completely frozen Red Rock Lake, nestled within the rugged landscape of Whiteshell Provincial Park. The sky ignites in a beautiful display of pink, orange, and blue as the sun dips below the evergreen tree line on the far shore. In December, the lake is locked in a thick layer of snow and ice, creating a serene, peaceful landscape accessible via the nearby road system. The foreground is framed by bare branches and frosted grass, a sharp contrast to the soft, pink-hued snow covering the lake surface. This image freezes a breathtaking second of raw, untamed Canadian nature during the stillness of winter.
