Prairie Fury: Storm over Canola

- Description
Print Name: Prairie Fury: Storm over Canola
Captured: July 2023 | Location: Western Manitoba, Canada
The Story: A dramatic scene capturing a powerful supercell thunderstorm rolling across the vast Canadian prairies, just north of Virden and east of the Saskatchewan border in Western Manitoba. The sky is a tumultuous display of dark, swirling storm clouds, while a patch of vibrant sunlight breaks through the gloom to intensely illuminate a sprawling yellow canola field in the foreground. This intense contrast highlights the raw, untamed power and beauty of a prairie storm, a common summer occurrence in the region known for producing large hail. The image freezes a breathtaking second of this majestic display of nature's fury and the resilience of the agricultural landscape.
