Studio or Outdoor Maternity Photography
Your maternity session can take place in my Winnipeg studio or at an outdoor location that complements the look you want to create.
The studio offers privacy, controlled lighting, and a clean, timeless look, while outdoor sessions can take advantage of Manitoba’s forests, prairie landscapes, beaches, and beautiful evening light.
During your planning consultation, I’ll help you choose a location based on the season, accessibility, wardrobe, and the style of photographs you’re drawn to.
When Should You Book Maternity Photos?
I recommend reserving your maternity session during your second trimester or earlier so you have the best choice of dates.
Most maternity sessions take place around 30–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully defined while you’re typically still comfortable enough for posing and movement. If you’re expecting multiples or have other timing considerations, we can plan an earlier session.
Every pregnancy is different, so these are guidelines rather than rules. We’ll choose a date that makes sense for you.
What to Wear for Maternity Photos
The best wardrobe is one that helps you feel comfortable and confident while highlighting your shape. Flowing dresses, fitted silhouettes, soft textures, and simple neutral or earthy tones all photograph beautifully.
During your pre-session consultation, we’ll talk about clothing, colours, location, and the overall look you want to create. Partners and children are welcome, and I can also help coordinate their outfits so everything feels cohesive without looking overly matched.

You’ll also receive a $100 credit toward professional prints or artwork from either session.
Your newborn session is photographed with safety and comfort at the forefront by an APNPI Qualified Newborn Photographer (QNP) with APNPI newborn safety training and current First Aid/CPR certification.
