The Story: Standing on the edge of Treaty 1 Territory in the Rural Municipality of Woodlands, the modern silhouette of the Environment Canada weather radar stands as a silent sentinel. Enchanted Skies captures a rare moment where human technology meets the ancient energy of the cosmos. As the radar tower scans the horizon for patterns in the atmosphere, the sky above ignites in a G3-class geomagnetic storm, sending ribbons of emerald and violet 'dancing' over the station. This image represents the bridge between our quest for scientific understanding and the raw, unbridled magic of the natural world.
