The Story: The final shot from my June 7, 2026 storm chase. Standing directly in the path of this monster—which had just produced a tornado as it crossed into Saskatchewan from North Dakota—was an unforgettable sight. I originally planned to capture the full scale of this massive cloud formation as a panorama. However, just as I was firing the final frame of this 5-image HDR sequence, the wind violently picked up. We scrambled back into the truck just as 100+ km/h winds slammed into us. With zero time to spare, we narrowly escaped the worst of it, getting clipped by the torrential downpour flanking the core.

The Story: The final shot from my June 7, 2026 storm chase.
