Sea Lions

- Description
Print Name: Sea Lions
Captured: September 2019 | Location: **Vancouver Aquarium**, British Columbia, Canada
The Story: A powerful scene capturing the playful interaction of two **Steller Sea Lions** (*Eumetopias jubatus*), the largest species of sea lion and a near-threatened species. These specific animals are residents of the **Vancouver Aquarium**, which runs a marine mammal rescue center dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured or orphaned animals. Unlike true seals, sea lions have external ear flaps and large front flippers that allow them to "walk" on land. They are known to be incredibly curious and playful, often interacting with divers and visitors through the glass. This image freezes a breathtaking second of this magnificent Canadian creature as they interact underwater.
Every print is personally inspected, and hand-signed by Métis artist Jason Lee.
