- Description
Print Name: Pinawa Sunset
Captured: March 2025 | Location: Pinawa, Manitoba, Canada
The Story: Each year, I spend the winter traveling across Manitoba, traversing the backcountry on **snowmobile** in search of the most stunning examples of nature’s beauty. This year was even more special—my 2-year-old daughter joined me on these adventures, making each journey not just about capturing breathtaking landscapes, but also about creating lasting memories together. This **golden hour scene** from Pinawa is one of those moments—where the **icy river** winds through rugged cliffs (part of the **Canadian Shield**), the snow-covered trees stand tall, and the sky ignites with the colors of a winter sunset. For generations, my Métis family has had a deep connection to this land. These images are more than just photographs; they are reminders of the magic we found in the wild and the joy of exploring the great outdoors as a family. Every print is personally inspected, and hand-signed by Métis artist Jason Lee.

Media Options & Print Details
Choose the perfect medium to bring this piece of Canadian landscape into your space:
Museum Grade Rag Paper (Fine Art Paper)
- Best for: Classic museum-quality collections and custom framing.
- Details: I use the Palo Duro Soft Gloss Rag from Red River Paper, A 315gsm, 100% cotton fiber paper with a subtle sheen that enhances the deep colors and dramatic sky. It is archival, acid-free, and meets ISO 9706 standards for long-term conservation.
- Shipping: Shipped unframed in a rigid tube or flat-packed (8x12).
- Best for: A modern, frameless look with an artistic, tactile feel.
- Details: I use the Blanco Satin Canvas from Red River Paper, Heavyweight 350gsm canvas gallery-wrapped over a 1.5" wood frame. Finished with three coats of protective varnish for UV and moisture resistance.
- Ready to Hang: Arrives fully assembled and ready to adorn your wall.
- Best for: High-impact areas where clarity and color "pop" are the priorities.
- Details: Images are infused directly into aluminum panels for breathtaking depth and a glossy finish. These are scratch-resistant, waterproof, and can be cleaned with standard glass cleaner.
- Float Mount: Arrives with a hidden rear mount that makes the art appear to "levitate" 1/2" off the wall.
