The Story: A peaceful, picturesque scene capturing the **"Petit Phare"** (little lighthouse) in the Parc de l'Ancien-Quai in Saint-André-de-Kamouraska, Quebec. This charming red and white structure is a beloved local emblem and a **replica of the original, now-defunct lighthouse** that once stood on the nearby Long Pèlerin island in the St. Lawrence River estuary. The park is a popular stop on the Navigators' Route, offering walking trails along the aboiteau (tide gate) and the pier, with interpretive panels on local history and wildlife. This image captures the dramatic cloudscape and the serene meeting of the land and the vast **St. Lawrence River**, a vital artery for Canadian history.
