The Story: A powerful portrait of a **Common Squirrel Monkey** (*Saimiri sciureus*), captured at the Assiniboine Park Zoo's Toucan Ridge exhibit. The image freezes a breathtaking second as the monkey, an omnivore that primarily eats fruits and insects in the wild, enjoys a snack. Known for their intelligence (they have a large brain relative to their body size) and highly social nature, these New World monkeys use their tails for balance as they rapidly move through the canopy layer. This image highlights the animal's curious personality and vibrant orange and yellow fur, bringing a sense of untamed, tropical magic into your space.
