I’m Jason Lee, a Manitoba-based Métis photographer dedicated to the art of visual storytelling. Based in Winnipeg, I spend my days preserving the authentic connections that define a family and my weekends exploring the rugged beauty of the Manitoba wilderness. My goal is to craft timeless imagery—whether it’s a wedding at The Leaf or a fine art print of The Whiteshell—that your family will treasure for generations.
I am honoured to live and work on Treaty 1 Territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
A Lifelong Connection to the Land & Métis Identity
My identity is deeply intertwined with the natural world. Beyond the lens, my heart has always belonged to the outdoors. As a Manitoba nature photographer, I’ve gone to great lengths to document the raw majesty of the Canadian landscape, from trekking to remote waterfalls with my tripod to navigating backcountry rivers by canoe.

My journey began as a childhood fascination. I carried a camera everywhere, capturing everything that caught my eye. This passion matured in high school when I began working with a seasoned professional. That experience provided a high-pressure foundation in portraiture and live events while allowing me to master the technical nuances of digital editing and the professional industry.
